(BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Haneef Atmar met with Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Afghanistan Saeed bin Mubarak Al Khayarin here in his office yesterday, a MoFA statement said. During the meeting, both sides reviewed bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries, in addition to issues of common interest, according to the statement. The Qatari Ambassador in Kabul, appreciating the efforts of the late Afghan ambassador Dalili for expanding and strengthening relations between Afghanistan and Qatar, considered his death a great loss, emphasizing the continuation of his country’s cooperation in various fields with the government and people of Afghanistan. Minister Atmar expressed his gratitude for the condolences of the Qatari government and officials and the participation of Special Envoy of the Qatari Foreign Minister in Counter-Terrorism and Mediation in Conflict, at the funeral of the late Afghan Ambassador to Doha, he called the relations between Afghanistan and Qatar as friendly ad thanked the State of Qatar for its role in the Afghan peace process, according to the statement.
