An esteemed research centre and postgraduate school in Singapore that specialises in security studies and international affairs within Asia-Pacific and beyond. RSIS provided CAPS with its first operational grant during its developmental phase and continues to provide quarterly funds for research. Two of its constituents, the International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research (ICPVTR) and the Asian Programme for Negotiation and Conflict Management (APNCM) collaborate closely with CAPS in joint projects. In April of 2007, CAPS sent three of its key analysts to ICPVTR for training while ICPVTR regularly sends fellows to CAPS for research and training.
Jebsen Centre for Counter-terrorism Studies, The Fletcher School, Tufts University
The Jebsen Centre for Counter-Terrorism Studies at The Fletcher School has developed a highly capable pool of counter-terrorism professionals. It is known for its robust research and analysis program, conferences, visiting fellows program, and outreach activities. The Jebsen Centre facilitated the sponsorship of a one-year Fellowships at CAPS.
Sasakawa Peace Foundation (SPF)
A Japanese grant-giving organisation which supports world peace by financing activities that encourage international understanding, knowledge exchange, and cooperation. SPF was the sole donor for CAPS first Advisory Council Meeting in Goa, India.
The Asia Foundation office in Kabul runs programs in political, social, economic, and intellectual development. It is another vital CAPS partner. To date the San-Francisco based institution has supported several of CAPS’ research activities and sponsored CAPS’ visiting research fellows.
Terrorism Research Centre (TRC)
TRC is an independent institute dedicated to the research of terrorism, information warfare and security, critical infrastructure protection and other issues of low-intensity political violence. TRC has generously sponsored a one year fellowship at CAPS.
