On 21 October 2020, Ole Andreas Lindeman, the newly appointed Ambassador of Norway in Kabul, visited CAPS for a comprehensive discussion with the Chairman of CAPS, Mr. Hekmat Khalil Karzai, on different issues. Mr. Karzai warmly welcomed Ambassador Lindeman saying that Norway is a remarkable partner of Afghanistan playing a crucial role particularly in the current peace process.
Mr. Karzai and Ambassador Lindeman discussed the ongoing peace negotiations and security situation in the country, as well as the role of regional countries including Norway. Ambassador Lindeman stated that should the talks prevail, Norway will help in the infrastructure building of Afghanistan and explore investment opportunities post peace deal.
