(Afghanistan Times): Ministry of Defense said Sunday that the Taliban’s red unit commander for Nadali district of Helmand province was killed along with his seven comrades. Abdul Rahman was killed in an airstrike as he and his seven associates were planning to carry terrorist attacks in the district, the ministry said. This is as the Taliban recently launched a relentless large-scale attack on Helmand to overtake the capital city, Lashkargah. It has been nearly a month that intense fighting has been continuing between Afghan forces and the Taliban in the province. Scores of Taliban rebels were killed so far. However, the clash forced thousands of innocent people to leave their house and took refugees to the restive peaceful areas around the province, and some of them came to Kabul to flee the war.
