On January 13, 2020 CAPS Chairman Hekmat K. Karzai hosted British Ambassador to Afghanistan HE Alison Blake. Mr Karzai after welcoming the guests on their first visit to CAPS exchanged views on his shared experiences in the region with Ambassador Blake.
Both sides in the meeting discussed the peace process, the presidential election results and the recent updates on Iran and US relation. Mr Karzai emphasized on the continuous existence of strong political will for the peace process to continue for positive outcomes. Additionally, Ambassador Blake on the US-Iran relation stated that further escalation and tension in the region could have an effect on Afghanistan and the peace process.
