(BNA): President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has assured his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani that Afghanistan’s land will never be used against any other country. A statement from the Presidential Palace said, the two leaders spoke over the phone on Sunday evening. According to the statement, President Ghani assured President Rouhani that his country’s land will never be used against another country based on the security deal with the US. President Ghani expressed his condolences to the president and the people of Iran in connection with the killing of Qassem Suleimani, the commander of Iran’s Quds Force. The top Iranian commander was killed in a US air raid with five others at the Iraqi capital Baghdad. The Afghan government has called on the United States and Iran to resolve the issue through dialogue.
