From 24th till 29th March, Mr. Karzai visited Doha to attend the Doha Forum and hold meetings with different actors. Mohammed Bin Messnad, National Security Advisor of Qatar, Amb Ole Andreas Lindman, Norwegian Ambassador
In October, Mr. Karzai had an engaging conversation on the current developments in Afghanistan with UK Chargé d'Affaires Hugo Shorter. Both side agreed that there are NO military solutions in Afghanistan and efforts must be made by all sides to engage in dialogue, which is the only way out of the current situation.
From 16th May till the 20th, Mr. Karzai visited Brussels to meet with senior EU leadership and other stakeholders. During his visit, he held separate meetings with Paola Pampaloni, Deputy Managing Director ‘Asia and Pacific Department’ at the External Action Services (EEAS) Tomas Niklasson, Special Envoy of the EU for Afghanistan, Ambassador Andreas Von Brandt
Mr. Hekmat Khalil Karzai was in Doha for a series of meetings with senior Qatari officials and Afghanistan’s international partners in October. He met with Amb of Japan, and a good friend HE OKADA Takashi to discuss the situation in Afghanistan and the way forward preventing another cycle of bloody violence.
