(BNA): Special Representative of UN\u2019 Secretary-General in Afghanistan Jean Arnault met with Iranian Foreign Minister\u2019s special envoy for Afghanistan Mohammad Ebrahim Taherian in Tehran on Monday, Iranian media reported. Jean Arnault heading a delegation arrived in Tehran to meet with Iranian officials and discuss Afghanistan\u2019s issues, according to local media. During the meeting, the two sides discussed current developments in Afghanistan including Afghan peace process and the security situation. Pointing to the fact that Iran regards peace and security in Afghanistan as its own peace and security, Taherian stressed, \u201cWe support intra-Afghan dialogue, owned and led by Afghans themselves and we are ready to cooperate in paving the way for intra-Afghan dialogue\u201d.
\nHe also emphasized the need for preserving Afghans\u2019 achievements in last two decades.
