In a meeting with United States Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad in Doha Thursday, Stoltenberg assured NATO\u2019s support to ongoing peace process and stability in the country. \u201cThe Doha talks offer the best chance for peace, but Taliban must keep their promises and reduce the unacceptable level of violence,\u201d he said in a tweet. \u201cNATO remains committed to Afghanistan\u2019s security.\u201d Following a meeting with the Taliban, Khalilzad said they have agreed \u201cto re-set actions by strictly adhering to implementation of all elements of the U.S.-Taliban Agreement and all commitments made.\u201d More recently, the Taliban has intensified offensive throughout Afghanistan \u2013 mainly in Helmand province \u2013 where some 6,000 families have been displaced.
