30pc women contribution to be ensured in Peace Jirga: Zaman
KABUL (Pajhwok): Deputy Foreign Minister Idress Zaman, during a meeting with Christian Leffler, European Union Deputy Secretary General for Economic and Global Issues, assured of maximum participation of women in Peace Jirga and informed him about preparations for the 3rd Kabul Process Conference.
During a meeting on the sideline of the 62nd Session of Commission on Narcotic Drugs in Vienna, Zaman hailed the European Union for its assistance and cooperation with Afghanistan in the past almost two decades.
He assured the EU delegation of the 30% contribution of women in the peace process and consultative peace Jirga and obtained positive response from the EU side with regards to the reintegration of the refugees, technical assistance and monitoring the transparency of the Presidential Election.
