Afghanistan provides $1mn for Palestinian refugees
KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan has provided one million US dollars to Palestine for education of refugee Palestinian children, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said on Saturday.
The amount was deposited to the UN account in Turkey by the ambassador of Afghanistan to the country for Palestinian children.
Separately, Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani met with Pierre Krahenbuhl, Commissioner-General of UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) on the sidelines of the Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC) foreign ministers meeting in the UAE.
The UN envoy welcomed Afghanistan’s support for Palestinians and said the amount Kabul contributed would will help refugee Palestinian children in their education.
