Hajj director survives gun attack in Herat City

HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): The Hajj and religious affairs director for western Herat province has survived a gun attack, an official said on Sunday.
Police chief Aminullah Amarkhel told Pajhwok Afghan News unidentified gunmen stormed the house of Syed Mohammad Sherzad at 8pm on Saturday night.
He said Sherzad was slightly wounded by shards of windowpanes. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
