2 civilians killed, 25 wounded in Khost motorcycle bombing

KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): At least two civilians were killed and 25 others injured in a motorcycle bomb attack in the capital of southeastern Khost province on Tuesday, officials and eyewitnesses said.

Witnesses said that the incident took place in a crowded area between Spin Jumat Mosque and Kabul bus stop in Khost city around 11am today.

Dr. Sakhi Sardar, head of Khost Civil Hospital, told Pajhwok Afghan News that they received one dead body and 16 injured people from the incident area.

He said the health condition of two of the injured was critical.

Meanwhile, a worker in Baburi Private Clinic in Khost, said that they also received one dead person and nine injured.

Khost police officials confirmed the incident but refused to provide more information about the attack.

No any groups have yet claimed responsibility for the incident.
