1 killed, 13 injured in Samangan traffic accident

AIBAK (Pajhwok): A person was killed and 13 others injured in a traffic accident in Hazrat Sultan district of northern Samangan province, officials said Tuesday.

Samangan traffic department head, Col. Abdul Raziq, told Pajhwok Afghan News that a Corolla model vehicle crashed with two other Corolla vehicles on Balkh-Samangan highway in Ghaznigak area of Hazrat Sultan district today morning.

He said that the driver of one of the cars lost his life while 13 others including two children and two women were injured in the incident.

Dr. Abdul Qayum, a doctor on duty in the emergency section of Samangan Civil Hosiptal, confirmed receiving a body and 13 wounded from a car accident.

He said that two of the injured were in critical condition and were transferred to Balkh Zonal Hospital for treatment.
