Khost, Takhar, Parwan Wolesi Jirga results announced

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Independent Election Commission (IEC) on Tuesday announced the Wolesi Jirga elections results of Khost, Parwan and Takhar provinces.

Addressing reports late on Tuesday, IEC Head Abdul Badi Sayyad unveiled the results as following.

From Parwan province Abdul Aziz Humayoon Harirod received 14,501 votes, Mir Rahman Rahmani got 10,658 votes, Sidiq Ahmad Usmani grabbed 10,018 votes, Abdul Zahir Salangi got 9,306 votes, Zakia Sangeen received 5,438 votes and Samiya Azizi Sadat got 2,111 votes.

From Khost province Kamal Nasir Usoli is the front runner with 7,556 votes, Helmand Helmand got 4,281 votes, Ghafar Khan got 4,132 votes, Dr. Mohammad Musa Khawrin got 3,808 votes and Sahera Sharifi received 2,544 votes.

In Takhar, Abdullah Baig got 13,763 votes, Sharif Abdullah Malakzai got 8,484 votes, Mohammad Alem Saee 7,769 votes, Eng. Amir Mohammad Khaksar received 6,985 votes, Dr. Syed Ashrafuddin Aini got 6,881 votes, Ghulam Sarwar Sadaat got 6,851 votes, Dr. Hameedullah Yuledash got 6,379 votes, Habibia Danish got 5,837 votes and Nazefa Yousuf grabbed 4,888 votes.
