4 Daesh suspects arrested in Nangarhar raids

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Four suspected Islamic State militants, including two young boys, have been arrested by police and intelligence operatives from separate areas of eastern Nangarhar province, officials said on Sunday.
Attaullah Khogyani, the spokesman for the Nangarhar governor, confirmed four persons linked to the group known as Daesh had been arrested, saying the detainees had confessed to their crimes and were under National Directorate of Security or NDS investigation.
Ezatullah, a resident of Kunar province, was arrested by security forces near Pacheragam district as he was trying to join the group.
The 16-year-old had spent six months with Daesh and had received training in terrorist activities.
Another person, named Afiridi was arrested by Afghan forces in Haska Mena district for having links with Daesh group.
Nangarhar police spokesman Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal told Pajhwok Afghan News Afiridi was a resident of Lalpura district who wanted to commit terror actions in Gurgori locality.
Afiridi had confessed to his crime and was now under NDS investigation, he added.
